Samaritan’s Purse is sending the Gospel to the ends of the earth through Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. Each “gospel opportunity” box is a chance for a child and his family to hear the good news. Shearer Hills has packed thousands of these shoeboxes for children ages 2-14. Remember: It’s not a box—it’s a child.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
PRAY—VOLUNTEER—PACK!

The packing party weekend in October is the “main event” for Operation Christmas Child, but volunteers work year round. They shop for bargains, sort donations into bins (of toys, clothing, and toiletries), work at the M & M (ministry) Fair, pack at the packing party, help with November’s Collection Week, and load trucks to send cartons to the Samaritan’s Purse processing center.

If you like bargain hunting either in the stores or onlinewe have a job for you! We like to buy in bulk when possible, and if you have a sharp eye for a bargain, you can alert others to good deals while they last.

Donation Collection

Personal donations are collected beneath the Operation Christmas Child wall display, located in the hallway next to the nursery windows. Drawers for collection are directly beneath the display.

Pack!

One weekend in October, the church family comes together to pack the Christmas shoeboxes. With Christmas music filling the gym, shoeboxes are packed with toys, clothes, and a personal greeting. You can even track your shoeboxes and discover where they were delivered!
