Weekly rehearsal schedule

Sanctuary Choir

Led by Robin Roewe

Wednesday 6:00pm, Choir Room

This group is open to high school students and adults. The choir leads worship each week for the 8:30a traditional service. A variety of musical styles are prepared for worship presentation.


Led by John Goforth

Wednesday 6:00pm, Orchestra Rehearsal Room

The orchestra is open to high school students and adults. The orchestra leads worship each week for the 8:30a worship  service. In addition to weekly services, the orchestra plays for special events during the church year.


Led by Tammi Carson

Wednesday 7:30pm, Room 121

This group is open to high school students and adults.  This ensemble plays regularly during worship and for special events. 

11am Worship Team

Led by Travis Thompson

Wednesday 6:00pm, Sanctuary

These auditioned groups lead congregational worship in the 11:00a  service. These teams serve in a weekly rotation as needed.

Star Power Children's Choir

Led by Jennifer Parry

Wednesday 5:30pm (school year)

Shearer Hills offers multiple choirs for children in grades K-5. In addition to preparing musicals for presentation to the entire congregation, the choirs occasionally sing in worship services and for seasonal events.

Joy Singers

Led by Robin Roewe

Thursday 10:00am, Choir Room (September through May)

This group is open to adults.  The Joy Singers minister monthly to residents of area retirement and nursing facilities.

LightShine Preschool Choir

Led by Jeanette Rachuig

Wednesday 5:30pm ( school year)

This group follows a similar curriculum as the children’s choir but it tailored for preschool aged children.

Production/Technical Crew

Led by Allen Armstrong

This group meets as needed

This group is responsible for running audio, lighting, and projection for worship each week and special events at Shearer Hills.  Experience is a plus but training is provided for anyone who has a desire to serve.  Members will serve on a rotating basis.

This group is open to all ages. Currently, the drama ministry is primarily involved in special presentations during the year which call for non-singing stage roles.
